Franz Heinrich Achermann, von manchen Zeitgenossen der Schweizerische Karl May genannt, ist nun endlich wieder in Form einer neuen Veröffentlichung verfügbar. Carl Stoll hat sich die Aufgabe vorgenommen diese herrlichen Romane neu herauszubringen. Dabei setzt er ganz bewusst gewisse Helvetismen und manche etwas angestaubte Formulierung an. Er führt uns damit zurück in die Zeit unserer Väter, Grossväter und Urgrossväter (die Romane galten zu ihrer Zeit eher als Romane für junge Männer) und erreichten damit Bestseller-Status.Man mag einwenden, dass manche naturwissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse in den Büchern nicht heutigem Wissensstand entsprechen - das kann schon sein... aber es handelt sich um Romane; spannend, lesenswert, etwas nostalgisch und pathetisch - einfach "Kinder ihrer Zeit" und als solches verdienen sie wieder gelesen zu werden. Ich hoffe sehr, Carl Stoll wird seine Initiative weiterführen und uns noch viele Werke von F.H. Achermann neu vorlegen.
